AKC and UKC CH Posey Canyon Dizzy Lizzy comes from Jennifer Johnston's Posey Canyon Kennel in Washington state. When I saw Posey Canyon Joyful Noel, I immediately inquired as to her pedigree, and when I saw it, immediately booked a bitch puppy from Lily's next litter. I wasn't disappointed at all!

Dizzy was everything I expected. She has a gorgeous, long neck, a beautiful, properly placed shoulder and a lovely angulated rear which she really drives off of. Dizzy is a stretchy bitch with the type of flexible body that can slither down into the ground. She is a wild woman with a ton of show ring attitude. Dizzy isn't afraid of anything. No one is a stranger and no place she travels is new to her. She welcomes life as it comes to her and looks for an adventure everywhere she goes. She is one happy, upbeat girl.

This girl loves to show. She earned her first major under breeder judge, Pam Simmons, and her second major under long-time, well-respected, terrier breeder and judge Dr. Robert Smith. Her third point show was the next day under Mrs. Robert Forsythe. Her third major and second BOS came from Margaret P. Mickelson. Dizzy finished her championship with another 3 point major and another BOS under Ms Denny Mounce. Dizzy is well on her way!

In the UKC she went Best of Winners with a huge entry at the October, Lexington, KY Toy Fox Terrier Club show. In December 2003, Dizzy again went Best of Winners 4 out of the 5 shows at the K9 Fanciers end-of-the-year shows in Michigan to finish her UKC championship in style. Her first time back in the UKC show ring Dizzy won the champion class and went Best of Breed at the NAJRTA winter specialty under long time terrier judge Teri Murphy. She took the breed 3 days in a row in Chesterfield, VA and won the champion class at the Specialty at Premier under AKC/UKC judge Ann Hearn. By June, Dizzy was the number 1 Top Ten Jack Russell Terrier in the UKC. Now, on for her Grand Champsionship.

Watch for Posey Canyon Dizzy Lizzy in the show ring this year. As she matures we'll see where her show career takes her. Dizzy is bred to Falling Branch Excalibur for a January 2005 litter. Excalibur goes back to our own Falling Branch David (Bronze Medallion for Special Merit in the Field), CH Beano of Ravenswood (Bronze Medallion for Special Merit in the Field) and CH Farmcliff Ben of Childs Play (NHC to groundhog and raccoon). After her litter you'll find her back in the show ring and in the hunt field doing what she was bred to do.

I couldn't be happier with this bitch. Dizzy is the epitome of every attribute anyone could possibly want in a Russell. Kudos to you Jennifer and to the many outstanding terriers coming out of Posey Canyon. This Posey Canyon girl will live up to the sterling reputation that Jennifer and her terriers have earned.

Dizzy Lizzy is now owned by Claudia Sprague in California.
